Future Aces summer camp gives your child the opportunity to experience the world of being a jet fighter pilot. The camp was developed to be exciting, challenging and above all fun! The height of each day's activities is the preparation for, flying and debriefing of a minimum of two 1-hour long missions flying in our Hornet combat simulator cockpits.
Instructional briefings and debriefings are essential to develop
your Future Ace's jet pilot skills and are part of every mission. Throughout the camp week, Air Combat Zone ensures that your Future Ace's experience many different mission profiles including; basic flight skills, landings and takeoffs, navigation, carrier operations, Air-to-Air dogfighting, Air-to-Ground attack missions and more! By the end of the week, camper's feel like they've graduated with real fighter pilots wings!
Most appropriate for youths 11 to 16 years old, this 5 day program includes the following and more each day:
- A complete Hornet flight simulator combat mission including instruction, briefing and debriefing. Minimum of two 1 hour of simulator sessions every day!
- Educational documentary videos relating to each day's theme.
- Hobby time including CF-18 Hornet scale model making, paper airplane contests, water rocket launches and more.
- Individual and team oriented competitions with an emphasis on fun.
- Friday Pizza Party lunch and Graduation
Each session has a minimum enrolment requirement to run and is limited to a maximum of only 4 "pilots".
